Aqualyx® body fat dissolving injections
Aqualyx® treatment is a fat dissolving injection that works by liquidating fat cells and destroying them permanently. The broken-down cells are then eliminated naturally through the lymphatic system.
Aqualyx® fat dissolving injections are an excellent treatment for those looking to treat areas on the body with stubborn, localised fat.
What does having Aqualyx® body fat dissolving injections involve?
You will have a consultation. If you are deemed suitable for treatment and wish to go ahead then treatment can be performed on the same day as the consultation or you can book a future appointment.
On the day of treatment, the area to be treated is marked out. The Aqualyx® solution is mixed with lidocaine (an anesthetic) before injections begin, for your comfort.
A number of injections are administered to ensure the area of fat to be removed is fully covered.
After treatment, you are advised to limit caffeine and alcohol for 48 hours and massage treated areas. Compression clothing 24 hours post treatment would also be of assistance.
You may experience swelling /discolouration of the skin and tenderness; on occasions you will have some bruising. The area may feel tender for 7- 10 days and appear swollen for this time.
We advise 2 or 3 treatments, though improvements may be seen earlier, they are usually more visible after the second treatment.

- Who can and can’t have Aqualyx® treatments?
As long as you are generally healthy and don’t have any skin diseases or infections in the treated area there are few medical reasons why you should not undergo Aqualyx® fat dissolving injections treatment. However, Aqualyx® is not recommended for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. It is also not recommended for people who have been diagnosed with lipodystrophy or are immunocompromised for any reason including type 1 diabetes.
- How long will my results last?
The results of an Aqualyx® fat dissolving injections treatment are permanent as long as you maintain a constant weight measurement i.e. you eat healthily, exercise regularly, and do not gain weight.
- Are there any side effects?
People treated with Aqualyx® will typically experience minimal side effects There may be some short term swelling, bruising and tenderness which can last 7-10 days after treatment.
- What will I need to do after my Aqualyx® fat dissolving treatment?
You should not apply any cosmetics to the treated area within a 12-hour period. Avoid all direct sources of heat and radiation e.g. sunlight, UV radiation, saunas. You should also abstain from particularly demanding physical exercise for at least 48 hours. As the released fatty acids are converted into additional energy, it is especially important that you keep a healthy diet, otherwise your body will simply store the fat in an alternative fat depot.
- Why not just exercise more, or go on a diet?
The ideal candidate for Aqualyx® treatment already lives a healthy lifestyle, exercising regularly and eating a well-balanced diet, but has troublesome pockets of fat that simply won’t disappear. The cause for this lies within our genetics – the double chin is a good example of fat that is often present even on very slim individuals. Other particularly stubborn pockets of fat that can be harder to resolve with exercise alone include love handles, stomach fat, bingo wings (fat under the arms), knee fat pads (fat knees), and back fat (bra fat). All of these areas can be treated with Aqualyx®.
Prices:
Small area = £130 per treatment or £325 a course of 3 x treatments
Large area = £200 per treatment or £500 3 x treatments.
This will include the use of local anesthetic to make the experience as comfortable as possible.

A fee of £45* will be taken at the time of booking for your initial consultation. This fee will be deducted from your treatment package, or refunded if you decide not to go ahead with treatment.
*You can cancel or move your booking with 48 hours notice (if your booking is on a Monday please inform us the Friday before your booking). If you fail to notify us, or attend, this fee will be taken as payment for the appointment. Should you wish to rebook, then a further deposit will be required for the next appointment.
